A community that is generous in spirit, trusting the best in others' intentions until something different is demonstrated. A community open to new ideas, eager to see the world through others' eyes. A community that respects intellectual freedom, appreciating that diverse cultures, experiences, and beliefs lead to diverse points of view. A community focused on practicing rigorous science in a humane way, seeking deep understanding of both the natural world and humanity. A campus that minimizes any barriers to feeling welcome and embraces diversity in all its forms.
