Summer 2014
An organization at the heart of New York State’s electric system, operating the high-voltage
transmission network, administering and monitoring the wholesale electricity markets, and planning
for the state’s energy future. Internship was in the Information Technology department with the web
development team.
 Designed and programmed, using JavaScript, the user interface for an application website
administrators use to manage approximately 4000 user accounts.
 Programmed, using JSON and C#, the logic behind transporting documents from a
SharePoint server to an external NYISO webpage.
 Delivered a presentation to the executive leadership team summarizing the assignments
completed and overall internship experience.
New York Independent System Operator, Business Intelligence Intern Summer 2015
 Discovered 11 data anomalies in a data warehouse environment, traced these anomalies to
their source, and designed solutions to ensure data integrity.
 Developed a 1000 line Visual Basic Application that extracted metadata from custom queries
and loaded this information into Informatica Metadata Manager.
 Held the role of Project Manager for an internship group tasked with completing an initial
impact analysis for the effects of solar panels on our electric grid.
