1. COMMON CORE: All courses must be completed with a minimum “2.0” grade. Courses may not be
taken on a pass/fail basis.
2. AREA DISTR. REQUIREMENTS (ADR I-V): (6 credits) A minimum of 12 credits of the Area
Distribution Requirements must be at the 200-level or above at York College. (HCC students who follow
the articulation worksheet will automatically meet this requirement)
V. International Studies/Foreign Languages (6 credits) *ADR-V Six credits are to be taken in one
of these two areas; if foreign language is selected, six credits must be in one language.

THERAPEAUTIC RECREATION CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS
Eligibility to take the examination for Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist from the National Council on
Therapeutic Recreation Certification requires:
One of the following courses:
BIO220/221 Human A&P I/Lab or BIO222/223 Human A&P II/Lab
All of the following courses:
NUR201 Human Growth & Development; PSY100 General Psychology;
PSY230 Abnormal Psychology; SOC100 Introduction to Sociology
