Colorado Geographic Alliance GPS Units
Borrowing Agreement
These GPS units are supplied by the Colorado Geographic Alliance through a grant from GIS Colorado.
We hope that these units will be helpful in furthering the educational goals of your students. Below is a
list of the equipment and documents in the case that you will be receiving via FedEx. Please inventory
the contents of the case upon its arrival and again when you prepare to send the case back. The GPS
units are powered by rechargeable batteries, so please make sure that these batteries are returned with
the units. Do not assume that the batteries are charged when you receive the case. Check the battery
levels with enough time to allow for battery recharging. The recharge time is relatively fast, but will take
some time because of the ratio between batteries and chargers. Report any problems that you might
have with the units by emailing coga@uccs.edu. When you return the GPS units to COGA, please
remove the mailing label that was on the case and replace it with the return label, which is in the case.
Please secure the case with one of the enclosed fasteners. Arrange with FedEx to pick up the case.
COGA will pay for the shipping costs at a two-day shipping rate. There will be no charge for the use of
these units, provided all contents are returned in working order and you complete the reporting form
(second page of this agreement) within one week of the date you borrowed the GPS units. COGA will
reserve the right to bill users for any damage incurred by the user of the GPS units.
