Biographical Note Antonio Tujan International Director, IBON Foundation Mr. Antonio Tujan Jr. is a social activist working on Philippine and International issues for more than 40 years. One of the founders of IBON Foundation in 1978, he is the current International Director. He was founding chairman of Asia Pacific Research Network, a network of more than 50 major research NGOs in the Asia Pacific. He was also founding co-chair of Peoples Coalition for Food Sovereignty since 2005 to present. He was co-chairperson of the Coordinating Group of the Betteraid Open CSO Platform on Aid Effectiveness in 2009, and is now co-chairperson of the Global Council of the CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness and represents it in the Steering Committee of Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation. He is member of the Advisory Group of the United Nations Development Cooperation Forum. He was one of three NGO representatives of the Rio +20 High Level Roundtables. He is former Global Chairperson and current Asia Pacific Chairperson of Reality of Aid Network. He is a researcher, editor, educator and writer. He has written and/or edited various articles and books on food sovereignty, globalization and related issues including The Peoples Convention on Food Sovereignty, Training Modules on Food Sovereignty, Globalizing Philippine Mining, Contract Growing Intensifying Corporate Control of Agriculture, The Impact of WTO Agreement on Agriculture, Migration and Globalization and others.
