The meeting was called to order at 3:50 p.m. by Chairman Kelly Jones. After welcoming
the Regents to the meeting, Chairman Jones called for an executive session of the Board of
Regents. The Board went into executive session at 3:55 p.m. The Board resumed open
session at 7:19 p.m.

Upon motion of Regent Bryce, seconded by Regent Austin, it was ordered that Dr. Daniel
D. Angel be elected President of Stephen F. Austin State University to serve at the pleasure
of the Board of Regents at an annual salary rate of $120,000, that he reside in the
University-owned residence provided for the President and his family (in accordance with
longstanding requirements of the Board of Regents) and that he receive paid utilities,
custodial and grounds service, effective August 10, 1992. Chairman Jones requested a
role call vote.

The motion was passed. Regent Christopher indicated he would change his vote to reflect
unanimity.

Upon motion of Regent Windham, seconded by Regent Bryce, with all members voting
aye, it was ordered that the meeting be adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
