New Criteria for Promotion to Professor on the Clinician‐Educator Track
 Since 2016, it is now explicitly stated that promotion to
professor requires that the candidate has a sphere of
influence outside the walls of UTSW.
 These can include publications, invitations to speak at
other institutions, leadership activities in regional and
national organizations, or being sought out for
consultation and receiving referrals from the community.
