Facultymembersareexpectedtoachieveabalanceamongthecategoriesofevidencewithemphasis
onteachingandscholarshipforTenureTrackFaculty(TTF)andteachingandserviceforNon‐Tenure
TrackFaculty(NTTF).ThecommonexpectationintheCollegeofEducationis40%teaching,40%
scholarship,and20%serviceforTTFunlessotherwisenegotiatedwiththedepartmentchairperson
andapprovedbythedean.ThecommonexpectationforNTTFis62.5%teachingand37.5%service
unlessotherwisenegotiatedwiththedepartmentchairperson.Typicalteachingloadsarefivecourses
peracademicyearforTTFandeightcoursesperacademicyearforNTTF.
