A K nur r DCM may have any or all of t he component s addr essed in t his sect ion, depending on it s
configur at ion.

Frame
The base of all K nur r DCM pr oduct s is t he fr ame. The K nur r DCM feat ur es a fully assembled,
ext r uded alumi num fr ame wit h a pat ent ed T-sl ot t hat per mi t s many of t he cabinet ’s t ool-less
mount ing feat ur es.
The r ack s can accommodat e shelf- or r ack-mount ed equipment on 19-i nch (483mm) adjust abl e r ails.

All door s ar e fr amed fr om sheet met al and have hexagonal per for at ions leaving 83 per cent of t he door
open t o ai r fl ow for efficient cooling. A t wo-poi nt lat ch and push but t on lock come st andar d.
Door s ar e available in single- or dual -door designs for easier access. All door s ar e r emovable and
si ngle door s ar e designed for r ever si ble (l eft /r i ght ) hinging (see 3.7.1 - Rem ov e t h e D oor and 3.7.2 Rev er se t h e D oor ). Each t ype of door swings 135 degr ees. Each door i s per for at ed; each i s avail abl e

Side panels for each size cabi net ar e fashioned fr om sheet met al. Quar t er -t ur n fast ener s out side t he

An opt ional side panel lock wit h keys (Par t # 011399067L ) is available t o secur e t he side panel. The
lock inser t is inst al led near t he bot t om cent er of t he side panel.

Inspection
Upon r eceiving a K nur r DCM , examine t he pack aging for any signs of mishandli ng or damage. I f any
damage is not ed, not i fy your local L ieber t r epr esent at i ve and your car r ier immediat el y.

Unloading the Knurr DCM
Befor e unloading a K nur r DCM , not e t he weight of t he model (see 6.0 - Sp eci f i cat i on s. Use at least
t wo people when moving t he unit .
1. Using a pallet jack or for k lift , move t he K nur r DCM on it s pal let t o t he i nst allat ion locat i on.
2. Cut t he shr ink wr ap and r emove all packaging.
3. Remove t he lag bolt s secur i ng each shipping br acket t o t he shipping pallet ; t her e is one br acket at
each cor ner of t he K nur r DCM ; each br acket has t wo l ag bolt s (see F i gu r e 3).
4. Raise t he leveli ng feet so t hat t he r ack wil l r est on t he feet :
a. Use t he suppli ed hex wr ench t o lower each cast er unt il t he K nur r DCM is not r est ing on t he
shipping br acket s.
b. Remove t he hex bolt s secur ing t he shipping br acket s t o t he K nur r DCM .
L eave t he shi pping br acket s at t ached if t hey will be used t o secur e t he cabi net t o t he floor .
5. Use a pallet jack or for kl ift t o r aise t he K nur r DCM off t he shi ppi ng pal let .
6. Sli de t he shipping pallet out fr om under t he r ack.
