Objectives:
 Sustainable Development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future
generations to meet their own needs by paying equal attention to issues of environmental impact, social equity, and economic
prosperity.
 Expected outcomes from this initiative include the following:
 Increased contributions to UCCS and the local community on sustainabilityissues and projects;
 Create a more responsible, active set of public citizens.
 Get more involved on campus! Contact the ROAR office at 255-3470 for information on how to join sustainability-related clubs.
Listed below are the requirements to receive the minor in Sustainable Development. A maximum of nine credits can apply
towards both the Sustainable Development minor and your major.
Sustainable Development Minor – 18 credits, 12 upper division
Required Capstone Course: GES 4800 Sustainability Seminar (prer. Senior Status)

that might qualify require the consent of the Director of the Sustainable Development minor.
