Internship: Nissan Technical Center We are very pleased to finally be able to provide a paid internship opportunity here at Nissan Technical Center Sacramento for summer of 2016! Best wishes, Owen Key Duties: Assist with vehicle testing activities to include: set up data acquisition equipment and manage vehicle data tasks including data entry and analysis of vehicle data; conduct specific vehicle tests to detect, measure, document and/or confirm vehicle issues; use diagnostic and vehicle interface tools to reprogram vehicle controllers; assist with vehicle inspections and special development vehicle projects and test evolutions. Some travel during testing trips may be required. Timing: Summer 2016 (approximately 12 weeks duration, May-Sep window as most likely, subject to availability for candidates) Education level: Junior-Senior Degree field: Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or Computer Engineering/Engineering Technology program, ideally with >3.0 GPA. Other Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have an understanding of automotive technology and hands-on participation in student club/competition or other applied experience. Understanding of electric powertrain vehicle architecture, CAN communication, programming and controls is a plus. MATLAB modeling/programming proficiency is also beneficial for an ideal candidate.
