Program Accreditation
Program and Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accreditation
The Clark College MRAD Program is accredited under the College’s Institutional Accreditation with the
Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU, http://www.nwccu.org/). This
institutional accreditation qualifies the student to sit for the ARRT examination. The MRAD Program
course of study is in compliance with the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges
program of study that qualifies the program to accept students and obtain funding.
We are working toward programmatic accreditation through the JRCERT and our site visit was held in
May 2014 with the final review by fall 2014. According to the JRCERT this process “promotes excellence
in education and elevates quality and safety of patient care through the accreditation of educational
programs.” Please see the JRCERT contact information below if you need additional information.

Allegations of non-compliance with JRCERT Standards
Clark College Medical Radiography Program is committed to maintaining the highest standards of
program integrity. The following procedures have been developed to resolve any issues or concerns
regarding compliance with standards established by the Joint Review Committee on Education in
Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
1. Current JRCERT Program Standards will be available to interested parties for review at Clark
College and also available in JRCERT’s website at: www.jrcert.org.
2. Complaints concerning non-compliance of JRCERT standards will be directed in writing to the
Program Director who will then investigate the complaint and respond to the complaint within
15 business days (not including school breaks). If the complainant is dissatisfied with the
resolution he or she may then contact the Dean of the Business and Health Sciences Unit and
then further with the Vice President of Instruction if the person initiating the complaint is still
dissatisfied.
3. All records of the complaint will be kept on file in the Program Director’s office.
4. In the event that the above actions are not satisfactory, the person initiating the complaint
may take the matter directly to JRCERT (see procedures below).

Reporting Process
Important Notes for Reporting Allegations Against a Program
1. The JRCERT cannot advocate on behalf of any student(s). An investigation into allegations
of non-compliance addresses only the program’s compliance with accreditation standards and
will not affect the status of any individual student.
2. The investigation process may take several months.
3. The JRCERT will not divulge the identity of any complainant(s) unless required to do so through
legal process.
Process
1. Before submitting allegations, the individual must first attempt to resolve the complaint directly
with program/institution officials by following the due process or grievance procedures provided
by the program/institution. Each program/institution is required to publish its internal
complaint procedure in an informational document such as a catalog or student
handbook. (Standard One, Objective 1.6)
If the individual is unable to resolve the complaint with program/institution officials or believes that the
concerns have not been properly addressed, he or she may submit allegations of non-compliance to the
