3:30 to 5 pm.: Model UN Room, Coltrane Hall 211. Roundtable conversation with
NEH India seminar faculty and other interested faculty in social sciences, humanities
etc.

9:30 am. Visit to Community Mosque with World Religions class (Eric Greaux). Rest
of day free to catch up and plan for the next day and week. Shopping with Mueni Muiu,
dinner with Suresh Gopalan.

11 am to 12:15 pm in RJ Reynolds room 136. Public Lecture: “How India-U.S.
Relations Impact the World” in American Government and other classes. Focus on
relations between India and the US, and also address implications for ties with China and
African countries etc.
NEH India Interdisciplinary symposium: 8:15 am. to 2:30 pm. Includes keynote luncheon
address on “The Role of Islam in India’s Democracy.”
Monday, Sept. 22:

12:30 to 1:45 pm: Room 208 Coltrane Hall: Lecture on “India and Pakistan as
Nuclear Powers and Regional Politics.” Dr. Mueni Muiu class on “International
Relations.” Some others may also join.
6. Tuesday, September 23:

11 am to 12:15 pm: Room 05 Hill Hall (Large lecture hall): Lecture on: “India-Africa
Relations: Connecting the Past, Looking into the Future.” Dr. Guy Martin’s class on
“Politics in Africa.” Other classes may join also.

3:30 to 5 pm.: Hill Hall 205. Roundtable conversation with NEH India seminar faculty
and other interested faculty. Could include discussion of opportunities for research and
teaching collaboration and study abroad for students at Jamia.
