and Security may agree not to charge tariffs and
charges for Educational, Religious institutions,
and in cases of social and economic
disadvantanged communities. Criteria for
exemptions/concessions: Parties must make
written applications to the Executive Director:
Safety and Security; outlining the reasons why
exemptions/concessions should be considered.

1.2 The Executive Director in consultation with
the respective departmental heads may reduce
all tariffs and fees as approved by Council for
this Directorate up to a maximum of 50% of the
actual amounts to be billed. All applications for
such reduction to be submitted in writing to the
office of the Executive Director: Safety and
Security. All decisions made in terms of such
authority to be reported to the Office of the City
Manager.
