COURSE DESCRIPTION: effective and efficient use of integrated software suites (word processing, spreadsheets,
databases, and presentation graphics) and creating and maintaining web pages. Information technologies applied to
problem situations by the design and use of small information systems for individuals and groups.
Prerequisites: COSC 2311
Learning outcomes or objectives.
Class will focus on advanced topics in Access, Excel, Word and Power Point. Areas to master will include:
Advanced forms and reports in Access
Multi Tables and Forms in ACCESS
Macros Switch Boards and other interfaces
Use of finical functions in data tables Excel
Sorting and Table queries in Excel
Working with Multiple work sheets Excel
Templates and Form letter is templates Word
Becoming more efficient in word
Advanced presentation techniques

PowerPoint.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS: When a student reaches that number of absences considered by the instructor to

grade of F in the course. You will be expected to keep up, or ahead, of the class schedule and assignments.
Come prepared for quizzes, exams and discussion of assignments for every class. It is YOUR
RESPONSIBILITY to inform me in advance of any problems, so that an alternative might be worked out. You
will only be allowed to make up work early if it is pre-approved with the instructor. If you have special
