Purpose and
Content
The Update in Internal Medicine is a program emphasizing topics requested by our referring physicians,
controversies arising from journal clubs, and posed by our trainees. The program highlights diagnostic
and therapeutic solutions based on the most recent clinical science. The goal is to provide state-of-the
art practical advice on issues identified as frequent items for consultation and second opinions, as well
as new advances in applying molecular techniques in translational medicine.

The lecture honors Julius S. Aronofsky, Ph.D. a longtime Dallas educator and informatician. The series
is dedicated to the discussion of current medical informatics developments and their application to
treatment modalities. The purpose is to provide speakers who are leading scholars and practitioners
in the field. The presentation is intended to give physicians and other health care professionals exposure
to advanced technologies being applied to the care of patients.
Physicians and healthcare professionals interested in the newest advances in medical informatics or
other technological areas of research that will improve patient care.
The purpose of this lecture is to educate physicians and healthcare professionals in the newest
advances in medical informatics, health information exchange and technological areas of research
that will improve patient care.
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for
Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

breakfast, lunch and refreshment breaks during the meeting.
Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of registration fee/ form. We are unable to process any registration

Refund Policy
A $50 handling fee will be deducted from cancellation refunds. Refund requests must be received by

Purpose and
Content
The Update in Internal Medicine is a program emphasizing topics requested by our referring physicians,
controversies arising from journal clubs, and posed by our trainees. The program highlights diagnostic
and therapeutic solutions based on the most recent clinical science. The goal is to provide state-of-the
art practical advice on issues identified as frequent items for consultation and second opinions, as well
as new advances in applying molecular techniques in translational medicine.

The lecture honors Julius S. Aronofsky, Ph.D. a longtime Dallas educator and informatician. The series
is dedicated to the discussion of current medical informatics developments and their application to
treatment modalities. The purpose is to provide speakers who are leading scholars and practitioners
in the field. The presentation is intended to give physicians and other health care professionals exposure
to advanced technologies being applied to the care of patients.
Physicians and healthcare professionals interested in the newest advances in medical informatics or
other technological areas of research that will improve patient care.
The purpose of this lecture is to educate physicians and healthcare professionals in the newest
advances in medical informatics, health information exchange and technological areas of research
that will improve patient care.
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for
Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of
