Psychology (Bachelor’s Degree) Students will express interest in and increase participation in professional presentation and research symposiums. Psychology students will increase interest in and seeking acceptance into graduate programs. Psychology students should demonstrate oral and written communication skills at an acceptable level. Psychology (Master’s Degree) Graduate students will demonstrate an understanding of theories and methods in psychological areas both applied and experimental. Success will be reflected in performance on papers and presentations in graduate-level courses. Specifically, students will be able to demonstrate proper use of APA style, substantive understanding of materials and applications, depth and breadth of literature reviews, appropriate use of methodological and statistical techniques, and ability to orally present information and lead discussions. Students will express interest in and increase participation in professional presentations, research symposiums, and peer-reviewed publications Demonstrate proficiency in and understanding of different types of research methods in psychology, including all aspects of planning and conducting a project. Rehabilitation Science Students should demonstrate oral and written communication skills at an acceptable level and express satisfaction with such abilities. Students will express interest in and increase participation in professional presentation and research symposiums. Students will increase interest in and seeking acceptance into graduate programs. Sociology 1. The program will conduct a yearly meeting with the Advisory Committee; 2. Every year surveys will be sent to graduates from the previous 3 years, where surveys will be used to assess student feedback on program effectiveness; and 3. Every year a focus group will be held with graduating RSA Scholars, where qualitative data collected will be used to measure student satisfaction and perceived competencies.
