ELECTRIC POWER STEERING
STEERING WHEEL ANGLE CALIBRATION
This procedure allows to calibrate the steering wheel angle,
following the instructions below:
1)Stop the vehicle on a flat part of floor
2) Keep the steering wheel in the middle, wheels aligned properly
3) No any load must be applied on the steering wheel
4) Run the procedure
Test the vehicle on the road (30 km/h or 17 MPH) to check if the
procedure has been well done.
Move the steeering full right and full left; the steering wheel have
to come back to the middle by itself ( +/- 20 degrees).

The function allows to code one or more injectors in case of
replacement.
The injector’s CLASS have to be written in the ECU, and it MUST be
the SAME for ALL INJECTORS.

4 or 5 or 6
The class value is stamped on the top of each injector.

This function permits to bleed the brake’s idraulic circuit by driving
the ABS pump through the ECU. Please pay attention on each
message shown by the tool once the procedure will be ran, checking
often the brake’s liquid level and refilling it in case of need.
AFTER bleeding the circuit like a conventional brake system, run
this function getting completion .

ENGINE MANAGEMENT – EGR WORKING RANGE SETTINGS
The function allows to set and store automatically the EGR valve
working range.
The ECU will actuate the EGR reading the min & max position’s
value, storing each one as well as LEARNT value.
Warning:
To complete the procedure, please mind to switch the ignition off
and wait until “Power Latch” * will be stopped
* Power Latch = Delay on main power supply shutdown

Through this function the INJECTORS operating will be inhibited.
It could be useful in case of some cranking tests with no any
combustion ( cranking test, compression test, and so on… )

it’s safer to inhibit the ECU operating before any intervention or
maintenance on the airbag system, to avoid any accidental damage.
N.B.: in case of NEW ECU, please mind that the manufacturer
delivers it LOCKED by default.

AIRBAG BOSCH – ECU SETTINGS
This procedure allows the airbag system configuration in order to
units and options installed on the vehicle.
It consists of activating/deactivating each unit or option by
following the list of available components ( by default ALL options
and unit are ACTIVATED).
Please mind:
note first the options set in the old unit in case of ECU replacement,
then choose the same for the new one.
WARNING:
This activity is considered under direct responsability of the
operator.

STEERING ANGLE SENSOR CALIBRATION
This procedure allows to calibrate the steering wheel angle in case
of sensor’s replacement or after interventions on steering devices,
generally speaking.
WARNING:
Stop the car in a flat part of floor, no loads on, wheels aligned
properly, then run the procedure.

defaults.

DASHBOARD – Headlights Beam LEVEL Adjuster Settings -
Through this function both headlights level can be set
simultaneously (basic settings).
This must be done each time an “ adaptation” is needed on the
headlights beam level, saving time avoiding intervention in two
steps on the mechanical adjust screw.
First of all, please mind to set to “0” (headlight position fully UP)
the device by using keys on the dash, then through the tool proceed
with the adjustement.
The new value will be stored once the diagnostic procedure will be
terminated , and it will be applied for each step of the internal
device ( 0,1,2,3).
N.B.: Please mind that through the procedure BOTH headlights will
be set, so in case of maladjusted beam, it could be necessary to fix
it mechanically by the screws to obtain the same level for both of
them.

BODY COMPUTER – KEY CODING
This function allows the key coding, including remotes also (if
present), for all models with body computer and immobilizer built
in.
Just read carefully and follow the instructions shown by the tool
step by step.
ALL the AVAILABLE KEYS (old and new, max 8) and the CODE CARD
(the access PIN is foundable there) are required once the procedure
will be ran.
WARNING :
Please proceed with REMOTES coding ALSO if NOT PRESENT in all
keys, otherwise the function will be LOST together with the
possibility to use REMOTES for the future (only buying new keys with
remote).

CLIMA - STEPPERS RANGE ADAPTATION -
This function allows the ECU to learn the A/C steppers working
range.
Through a dedicated command the tool will ask the ECU to run the
process;
The ECU will perform a test reading min/max position of each
stepper, then it will store the values to manage the clima system
properly

ABS – YAW SENSOR ADAPTATION In case of ECU or sensor replacement, this adaptation must be ran.
Do it after installation of the new component(s).

D.P.F. - A-DPF (Additive-based Diesel Particulate Filter)
Additive type (EOLYS176 – DPX42)
Due to the fact that there are 2 types of additive, through this
function the properly one can be set.
Looking at the OPR number on a sticker placed on front doors area,
(near the lock or to the opposite side), starting from 9492 on both
type of additive are supported. For all previouse models, only DPX42
can be used.
N.B: usually a GREEN RING is foundable on the Tank Caps in case of
EOLYS176 (check it before refilling!).

D.P.F. - A-D.P.F. – FILTER REPLACING
In case of new Diesel Particulate Filter installed, the values 1 and 2
concerning the additive amount must be reset to the factory
defaults.
After installation of new DPF, run this function and follow carefully
all steps & messages shown by the tool.

ECU REPLACEMENT
In case of ECU replacement, the 2 values of the additive counters
(additive 1 and additive 2) must be written on the new unit.
If the old unit can be diagnosed, take note of it, then replace the
ECU and write them down in the new one.
