Power Systems Analysis
Spring 2009
OBJECTIVES
Use prerequisite material: Ybus, Zbus, power flow, symmetrical faults, and Power World.
Understand symmetrical components and sequence networks.
Perform unsymmetrical shunt fault studies using symmetrical components and sequence
networks.
Understand power system transient stability.
Predict transient stability of two bus systems using the equal area criteria.
Understand basic power system control and protection.
Perform fault and stability studies using Power World.
