This basic equipment, ES1.0 consists of a sensor head on stand, a computer unit and a touchsensitive screen. For proof documentation, the models FE2.X; VIII-4 or IX should be used. • eso offers speed gauge ES1.0 with a traffic monitoring device with various measuring applications on proven technology. Since this fixture only consists of a few components, it offers optimal portability and easy set-up. An ideal choice for simultaneous traffic speed gauging with a second device. Users will have access to state-of-the-art technology as this device's software is regularly updated. The light barrier mechanism is wear free, compared to so-called cable-based measuring systems where the cable is inserted into the roadway, and in effect is cost-neutralising alternative. Instead, invisible infra-red light jets into the direction of the selected area, also enabling simultaneous gauging of both traffic directions. The cable-based model, wherein the sensors are physically inserted into the roadway, needs half-yearly maintenance of all gauging points. Lining work, as well traffic volume subjects the cable-based technology to significant wear & tear and must then be renewed prematurely.
