*Now get with a partner – discuss your lists and create one list together.

*Decide who is going to be the writer – when name is called come to the board and write one type of poetry that is not already on the board.

Acrostic

*A Free verse poem where each letter, read downwards, forms a WORD.

*Text of the poem describes the word spelled down.

*There are two types of acrostic poems:

1= written as just words or phrases

2= written as a wrap around sentence
