Shakespeare ABC Book Project
You will choose a random letter of the alphabet that will be part of our class ‘ABC’ book. You will then choose a
topic related to Midsummer Night’s Dream that begins with that letter.
Each student:

Will create one, two-page spread (see below for picture)

must have a topic that clearly relates to the play Midsummer Night’s Dream
Pages will have revised and edited paragraphs as well as charts, pictures, photos, decorations, etc.
You are responsible for making your pages on your own, including typing, finding pictures, and creating your collage.
Each page should be a spread that is two 12 inch by 12 inch pages (1 square foot on each side).

Each page is 12
inches by 12
inches.
They sit open
face to face. So
these two pages
are for ONE
letter.
Grading Criteria:

Quality of information on your page – You must include a minimum of

one developed paragraph on your topic (minimum of 7 sentences)
o
one chart incorporating and explaining a minimum of 3 quotes to support your topic.


One additional content sections of writing, which can include: additional paragraphs, detailed bullets,
timelines, graphs, family trees, etc.

Quality of writing on your page (8th grade vocabulary, advanced sentence structure, avoid no nos, etc)

At least 5 images or specific decorations to match your content on each page

Organization and presentation is neat and easy to read, with the letter printed largely in a prominent position,
and the entire 12 X 12 page used.

Creative and unique element on each page – there should be three different types of media used to create
depth and texture (photos, fabrics, newspaper, stickers, magazines, old book pages, construction paper,
vellum, etc…)

A Works Cited citation for the play must be incorporated into the front of the spread.
