Secretary: Zach Berg, M3—unable to attend but submitted this “speech” in case there
were others running:
My name is Zach Berg, I’m currently an M3. I would like to run for secretary in this
election. I’m sorry I can’t be at the meeting; I’m finishing up a [peds] rotation in St. Louis.
I’ll be keep this very brief since I know most of you probably want to get this meeting over so
you can go home. I’ve gone to several MSAC meetings since my first year of med school,
representing the interest group ASI (association of student internists). Besides MSAC rep, I have
also served as secretary and president of ASI. Through those positions, I have had a lot of
experience with organizing meetings, scheduling, and keeping members of that organization
informed. With my experience in those areas and time spent at MSAC meetings in the past, I
think I would do a great job as the MSAC secretary. Thanks for your time and consideration.
