Become immersed in Key Club as you make decisions about large events in our district • Continue to improve clubs in our district What Positions Are There? • • • • • • • • • Lieutenant Governor Treasurer Statistical Secretary Secretary Governor Iolian Editor New Club Building & Reactivation Chair Technology Chair District Project Chair How Do I Run for the Office I Want? • Lieutenant Governor: – Talk to your current Lieutenant Governor! – Become a Candidate: Your Lt. Governor will hold a Divisional Council Meeting at which you can run for this position. – You will present a short speech at the election. – Two delegates from each club present will vote. How Do I Run for the Office I Want? • Executive Board Elected Positions: – Talk to current Executive Board members. – District Convention! – Become a Candidate: Look in the District Convention registration packet (distributed in February) and fill out all appropriate forms. – Be prepared to give several speeches! – Two delegates from each club will vote for the next officers at the House of Delegates. How Do I Run for the Office I Want? • Other Executive Board Positions – Iolian Editor: Are you creative? Do you like editing, creating templates, and writing articles? • Become a Candidate: Look in the District Convention registration packet (distributed in February) and fill out an application. – Appointed Positions (The Chairs): Are you eager to improve our Key Club district but are not fond of speeches? • Not elected • District Governor will send out an application in April – You may hold an elected and an appointed position! Be prepared when giving a speech, and remember that all board positions involve work. • Get educated!
