Lesley Halter is the new Interim
Practice Manager:
I joined St James’s Surgery on 20th
October as the Interim Practice
Manager with a view to assisting the
team during a period of restructuring
following a number of changes.
I was the General Manager of the Bath
Walk In Centre, which was always a
hive of activity! I have also been
involved with the Deep Vein
Thrombosis Service, the Community
Fracture Clinic and other minor services
for BaNES plus the Wiltshire
Occupational Health Service.
Using my expertise and knowledge, I
hope to enhance and develop the
surgery further along the ever changing
NHS path. Should you wish to contact
me, please email Lesley.halter@nhs.net
or phone on 01225 422911
Electronic Prescriptions
From Wednesday 26th November we are starting to use an
electronic system to process prescriptions. This means
 You will request your medication as normal (online/in
writing
 We process through it our computer system and
 Prescription is sent electronically to your nominated
pharmacy
We expect this to save time and be more efficient for you.
You can nominate a pharmacy at either St James’s Surgery or
through your usual Pharmacy.
Feedback on how it would be helpful so feel free to comment
in our Comments book on the front desk.
Christmas Prescriptions
The last day for prescriptions to be issued before Christmas will be
December 17th all prescriptions before this date will be definitely
processed by Christmas but any after aren’t guaranteed. So please
get your prescription request in early.
Christmas Colouring – For Kids
Collect a tree decoration from reception
after December 8th, to colour in and to hang on our Christmas Tree.
The Drug and alcohol team have put together a number of activities linked to Alcohol Awareness Week (17th -23rd Nov).
They started with a launch event called ‘Jog the journey’. A number of people jogged along a route highlighting key
points in the journey to recovery from alcohol misuse. The ‘journey’ started here at St James at 12.30 on Monday 17th
November as the surgery would be the first place to recovery.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all at St James’s
Surgery.
