Professor Muhammad Zia-Ul-Haq was on faculty as Professor of Islamic Law/Shariah and Dean/Faculty of
Shariah and Law at International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Presently he is a Senior Fulbright
Scholar at Xavier University. He holds a Ph.D in Comparative Islamic Law (Fiqh) from Ezzituna University,
Tunisia and Post Doctorate from University of Glasgow, UK. His teaching and research expertise includes
Comparative Islamic Law, International Islamic Law, Human Rights in Islamic Perspectives, Muslim Family
Laws, Interfaith Studies, Religious Pluralism and Diversity.
Dr. Anas Malik is Associate Professor of Political Science at Xavier University, and Affiliated Faculty, Vincent
and Elinor Ostrom Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis at Indiana University, Bloomington. He is
the author of Political Survival in Pakistan: Beyond Ideology (Routledge, 2011), and other publications related
to the political economy of Pakistan. He has participated in Muslim-Catholic and other interreligious dialogue at
the regional and national levels for several years.
