QuikTrip has filed a new SAP, BL-15-04, after several months of discussion with neighbors and Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. 2. UHNA issued a letter of support of the new SAP over the previous SAP after a membership vote on March 9 and entered into a private agreement with QT holding them to the design we agreed upon.. 3. BL-15-04 is still in review by the Planning Staff. QT received the parking variance from the BZA, as was the case with the previous SAP. Bill Martin discusses the beer/wine license. QT framed UHNA as being supportive of their bid for the license. 4. Planning Committee is the 1st Tuesday of the month iii. NPU Updates – Eva Cary Nason iv. Traffic and Safety – Michael McLaughlin - Beau reported about Felicia’s search for speedhump funding. i. Neighborhood Security Patrol - Mike’s report: Inman Park Grant Park 4th Ward rent off duty cops, http://grantparksecuritypatrol.org/ Bolton: 5 APD cops handle scheduling, holiday normal day, $200/day (verify) ($250/house). 7 hours a day $35/hour= $245/day *30 days a month = $7,350 /month, $88,200 | ~100 UHNA members = $882/yr = $73.50/month 1 UH has ~100 paying members (high estimate) Midtown’s Analytics don’t support Rent-a-Cops don’t actually deter crime. Citizen Patrol? APD? Private Company? Hanover West’s program covers UH’s residents along Defoors Ferry. c. Communications and Sponsorship – Bart Nason and Eugen Gassman i. Looking for people with marketing, branding, and web design experience to be part of our communications team! d. Membership – Ivy Way i. Membership Drive – renew by paying dues or completing the membership form online at www.underwoodhills.org, in person to Ivy Way, or via mail at P.O. Box 19914, Atlanta, GA 30325. Required Easement to adjacent projects, reduce curb cuts, consolidate access at larger intersection. Integrate Wendy’s/Einstiens – HM District – Kroger flow does not exist Enforcement, 2 Protecting residential /// 20’ of landscaping except for “Shared Access”; required Open Space; Rooftops = not keen on these since private/noise/privacy.. not sure I personally understand 2/3 of these arguments against. Vote taken to recommend deferral at the NPU: 28 vote yea! Shell /Piedmont future use discussion- deep enough for 115’ high 10 stories. The height is a key point of discussion. This is closer to MRC1 than MRC2 (“closer to MRC1.25”) 3
