Although each one is different from the next in personality and learning style, all of them have thrived in and absolutely LOVED this school's environment from day 1. Thanks to fabulous teachers and an incredible sense of community and pride, ECE at Bill Roberts has been a wonderful way for our children to kick start their elementary education. -Natalie Tognetti, Mom to 4 BR Students in 6th, 4th, 2nd and ECE 3 We were so pleased with our experience in Ms. Leslie's ECE 4 class. My son thrived in her creative learning environment and was supported and encouraged to grow at his own pace. This was a fantastic fit for my rambunctious, energetic, and smart boy. We have recommended Bill Roberts ECE to many families due to our positive experience. -Trisha and Mark Hussian A Day in Our Life Half Day ECE • • • • • • • Parent Greeting/Interest Areas /Choice Group Meeting Small Groups Interest Areas/Choice Read Aloud Outdoor Choice Goodbye Circle Full Day ECE • • • • • • Kaleidoscope before & after care available Free breakfast in the cafeteria • • • • • • • Greeting/Free Choice Large Group/Message Board (Shared writing, Group learning, Daily Job Chart) Outside Time Large Group/Movement (Music, Movement, Games) Read-a-loud Small Group/Free Choice (Active Learning) Specials – Drama, Music, PE & Library Lunch Rest Free Choice/Jobs Goodbye Circle Special Projects & Traditions • End of Study Celebrations – Families are invited to join us to see their students’ work product and share in their learning experience. • Field Trips – Johnny Appleseed tour, Can Land Recycling Center, walks around the neighborhood and more! • Parent Education Outreach – Topics are based on parents interest and can include Emergent Reading, Cognitive Development, Positive Discipline, to name a few. • • • • The Pumpkin Patch Water Day Field Day Chef Maggie Visit A Bridge from Home to Kindergarten • Introducing students to the classroom environment – Focus on the development of cognitive processes, receptive & expressive language, fine & gross motor skills, positive behaviors & interactions, and self regulation. • School readiness – Early learning requires instructional activities are planned with intention and classroom environments and experiences are designed to meet special learning outcomes.
