General Info
During WWI the Ottoman Empire
collapsed.
 Modern Turkey was founded in 1923 by
Mustafa Kemal(Ataturk)
 He was the first president of Turkey’s
Republic.
 Kemal moved the capital from Istanbul to
Ankara.

