When you have completed the lesson, choose Practice mode and complete 10 questions. If you do not
score proficient on the first set of 10, try two more sets of 10 questions (three total sets, unless you score
proficient on one of the first two).
Vocabulary Word Wall
Find the vocabulary word and its matching definition from the cut-outs provided by the teacher. Make an
illustration on a separate sheet to accompany this vocabulary word and hang it up on the word wall. Your
group may split up the words however you wish.
Cell Energy Review Worksheet
Use your notes and/or the textbook to help you answer the questions on this worksheet. Each group member
completes their own worksheet.
Classzone.com Vocabulary Practice
Log into Classzone.com, choose your subject, grade level, and state. Click on the Biology 2008 book. Choose
Chapter 4 from the “Chapter home” drop-down menu in the top left corner. Click on “Interactive Review”. Click
on “Vocabulary Games”. Choose any of the games available to you to review the vocab from this chapter.
Spend approximately 20 minutes on the vocab review games. To receive credit, you must click on “Scorecard”
and show your teacher.

Classzone.com Online Section Quizzes
Log into Classzone.com to get to “Interactive Review” the same way as described above in “Classzone.com
Vocabulary Practice”. Click on “Quizzes” and choose which section (4.1, 4.2 and/or 4.4) you want to take the
quiz for. When you are done, to receive credit, you must show your Scorecard to your teacher.
“Bio Text Online” Reading and Review
Each section is worth 10 points each. You are allowed to complete up to THREE sections to complete. If you
are completing multiple sections, you MUST choose one from both Photosynthesis (Chpt 8) and Cellular
Respiration (Chpt 9).
Vocabulary KIM Sheet
For each vocab term, write the definition in the “I” box, a word, phrase or picture that will help you remember
that word in the “M” box, and use the term in a sentence.
Posters
As a group, you will be required to create two posters: one on photosynthesis and one on cellular respiration.
Directions for the posters can be found on the handout.
Interactive Reader Activity
Answer the guided questions as you read through the text. Identify any words or concepts that you need extra
help with.
