Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 per week
Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum depending on experience

Role Overview:
Assisting in the design, implementation, configuration and management of IT and
telecommunication systems across two associated companies: Armstrong Works a
welfare to work provider and Access to Music - colleges delivering music and
creative media education.
We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer to provide a range of technical
support to all the businesses Information Systems including hardware, software,
network, communications and web based services in order to meet the needs of
all staff members, clients, students, stakeholders and external partners and the
Company’s strategic objectives.
You will monitor technical platforms and infrastructure including servers,
networks, applications and associated services to identify early warning signs
before user stability is affected.
You will provide day-to-day 1st & 2nd line support for both hardware and
software covering including, but not limited to, Microsoft and Apple Mac
operating systems, Google chromebook, Google Android, Apple iOS, TCP/IP
networking and router/wireless configuration, voIP telephony, Google apps
administration, and general hardware support (eg PC, Printer, Laptop). Assist with
set up and resource deployment, set up, maintenance and control of user
accounts, e-mails and logins including network and third party systems, and will
work in line with ISO 270001 data security principles.

It is essential that you have the ability to prioritise and manage heavy workloads
and have the skills required to ensure complete delivery of tasks set and the
reporting of these actions upon completion.
You will have good all-round IT Support skills and first-class communication skills.
You will have strong trouble shooting skills in order to diagnose and then fix
issues as they arise coupled with strong judgement to identify when additional
assistance is required.
Your work should be carried out to professional levels of good practice, in line
with Company policies and procedures and in accordance with legal
requirements.
You must have the ability to maintain a high degree of customer service for all
support queries and adhere to all service management principles.
Experience of providing desktop, server and network support & development in a
working environment
Experience and understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP IP,LAN, Switches & routers,
Wireless networking, firewalls, ADSL, VOIP and other telecommunications systems
including mobile handsets.
Experience with VLE’s (Virtual Learning Environments) would be an advantage.
