Filing period is November 1 – 30…application deadline is November 30th. Freshman Admissions decisions are posted at the end of March. Application Requirements: Must take the SAT or ACT (with the writing component). Average test scores of students admitted to Berkeley range from 590 to 710 on the SAT critical reading section, 630 to 750 on the SAT math section and 610 to 720 on the SAT writing section. Princeton University www.princeton.edu Application process is as follows… send in The Common Application and Princeton’s Supplement to the Common Application. Princeton expects students to have taken rigorous courses in English, mathematics, foreign language, laboratory science and history – plus some study in visual or performing arts. They focus strongly on community service and leadership abilities. Applicants are asked to write 2 essays to display writing skills and to convey your own ideas. Applicants must take the SAT or ACT (with the writing component) as well two subject tests. July 1st – application on The Common Application becomes available. December 15th – Princeton’s preferred submission date for applications. January 1st – Final deadline for admissions applications. Harvard University www.harvard.edu Application process is as follows…send in The Common Application or Universal Application and the $75 application fee IMMEDIATELY. December 1st – Harvard begins evaluating applications in the order to which they were received – SO… the earlier you send it in, the better chance you have! One set of official test scores must be sent to Harvard by December 1st. January 1st – Final Deadline (postmark) for ALL application materials. Application Requirements: Must take the SAT or ACT (with the writing component) as well as two subject tests.
