Ask Warwickshire Consultation Hub
Ask Warwickshire is not about discarding traditional approaches to
consultation, such as paper-based surveys. The aim is to complement these
methods with new and increasingly interactive approaches. They want to
provide the opportunity for residents to share their views on a range of topics
in a more dynamic, informal way. Rather than distribute surveys to Citizen
Panel members two or three times a year, they want to generate more timely
conversations on topics that are of interest, so that they can develop a better
understanding of the communities’ views and perceptions. Ultimately, they
want to provide the opportunity for all residents to get involved using the
methods they prefer to use, rather than the methods they may have been
limited to in the past.
This website acts as the focal point for the Ask Warwickshire approach. You
will find links to current consultations, petitions and e-petitions, discussion
forums (which we are calling ‘conversations‘) and other engagement
opportunities such as Facebook pages for specific parts of the county. The
vision is to develop an online community to encourage ongoing participation
and contributions to key issues affecting the county
You will also be able to sign up for instant alerts when a new consultation is
posted.

National Reports
Report on young people
The Prince's Trust has published its annual Youth Index, which gauges young
people's wellbeing across a range of areas from family life to physical health.
The report - based on interviews with 2,136 16-to-25-year-olds - found that
one in ten young people (10 per cent) feel they cannot cope with day-to-day
life. Young people not in employment, education or training (NEETs) are more
than twice as likely to feel unable to cope as their peers.

Report on health and wellbeing
The NHS Confederation has published Children and Young People's Health
and Wellbeing in Changing Times: Shaping the future and improving
outcomes. The report examines what action can be taken at a local level in
England to improve the health outcomes for children and young people, and
how this action can be supported at a national level. It calls for the
government to take action to address the lack of policy co-ordination between
different government departments and national bodies now that child health
services are commissioned by eight different bodies in the new system.
