Andy Elisburg, Senior Vice President
Basketball Operations/General Manager
Miami Heat
601 Biscayne Boulevard
Miami, FL. 33132
Dear Mr. Elisburg:
I am submitting to you an application for a Premium Service Intern as identified in Teamwork
Online. I am also interested in other available internships within your organization.
I am a senior at the State University of New York at Cortland obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Management. This internship will fulfill my degree requirements. I am also completing my
Associate in Science Degree in Business Administration from Hudson Valley Community College in
Troy, NY.
I believe my completed course work to date (e.g., Sport Event Management, Strategic Sport
Management, Event Practicum, and Sport Marketing) has provided me with an in-depth knowledge and a varied background to successfully meet the requirements of this position.
In addition, my passion for the sport will be an asset to your organization. I have field experience working various sporting events for SUNY Cortland; selling tickets, providing security at athletic events and working the scorer’s table as part of game official’s crew. I am also a recruiter for the athletic event promotions group, The Red Army, the university’s student support group.
I am a motivated student, anxious for the opportunity to obtain hands on experience in preparation for a full-time position in the Sport Management Industry. Attached is my resume to this application for your review and consideration.
My knowledge and passion for the sport of basketball, as well as my personality, is what will set me apart from others and make me an outstanding addition to your organization.
I look forward to meeting with you to further discuss this opportunity.
Sincerely,
Michael Cimino
