PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION To help job seekers to secure and maintain employment by promoting our job seekers to employers, and to build and maintain effective relationships with employers and industry that will result in employment opportunities for our job seekers. SELECTION CRITERIA Essential Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Demonstrated skills and/or experience in sales and marketing; Knowledge of key industries and employers in local labour market; Presentation, negotiation, and objection handling skills; Demonstrated administration skills including the ability to maintain records; Effective time management and organisational skills along with demonstrated capacity to meet key performance indicators; and Strong computer skills with the ability to use a number of different programs and software. Desirable Sound knowledge of services and programs available from Government and Community organisations; and Knowledge of Job Services Australia or Disability Employment Services. Meeting with job seekers to assess skills and experience; Undertake caseload profiling; and Liaise with Employment Adviser and Employment Trainer; Match clients to available vacancies; Negotiating individual work experience placements; Conduct job carving; Deliver labour market information sessions to Career Pathway Assistance Program (CPAP); Provide job search activities to small groups of job seekers (Assisted Job Search); Undertake employment retainment activities. Administration Monitor job seeker compliance activity relevant to all placement and referral activities; Maintain records related to job seekers to ensure Sureway’s requirements according to DEEWR contractual obligations are met; Record details of employer contacts using Employer Manager and Reverse Marketing timesheets in a timely manner; Complete purchase orders and submit evidence in a timely manner; Provide weekly report to Team Leader and Area Manager; Adhere to confidentiality requirements and ensure security of documentation; Observe Sureway’s policies and procedures; and Contribute to office cleanliness and maintenance of a professional environment. Marketing Promotion of Sureway services to job seekers, employers, external stakeholders and the general public.
