COURSES RATHER THAN USING DATA TO KEEP STUDENTS
OUT OF RIGOROUS COURSES
 EXPLORE data should be used to appropriately place 9th
grade students into pre-AP courses
 PLAN data should be used to appropriately place 11th (and
12th) grade students into AP classes
 All schools should make a diligent effort to educate parents
about the benefits of Advanced Placement and other
rigorous courses
 You are welcome to use the A+ College Ready parent
meeting presentation and/or invite one of our staff members
to come speak with your parents

eligible to take the AP Environmental Science exam without

contract for this work in order for the teacher & the student to
be eligible for the $100/qs
 If these conditions are met, A+ College Ready will contribute
$50/exam toward each of these students’ exams
Administration of AP Exams
 It is IMPERATIVE that AP exams be administered by an
individual who clearly understands how the AP exam is to
be given, i.e. amount of time on each section, whether or
not calculators are allowed, etc.
 There should be NO announcements or interruptions
during the AP examination
 It is the responsibility of the AP coordinator to make
certain that all AP exams are administered properly. The
