an understand how is operates and
function.

vs. Madison affected the power
of the Supreme Court.

explain how a president may try
to influence the Court through
the appointment of Supreme
Court Justices.

With my Field Base Supervisor
Sequence: Open with question about “When you think of the Supreme Court what do you think
of?”. Then lead into lecture on 12-3. Lecture for roughly 30 minutes. Split students into pairs and
hand out worksheet on different court cases. Explain to students that they are to read the court
case and write a paragraph of what happened and was the ruling was of that court case. Have
students turn worksheet in on Friday. On Friday review if necessary. Hand out 12-3 worksheet.
