Criteria: QuintEssential Credit Union is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility, defined as our commitment to operate in an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable manner, while balancing the interests of members, employees and local communities. Through our Social Responsibility activities, QuintEssential seeks to use our resources and expertise to provide social, economic and environmental benefits to the communities we serve and to involve our stakeholders in the process. While the Credit Union will consider any type of donation request where a modest donation would play a meaningful role, the following areas will be of most interest: (i) Projects or purposes that relate to serving people in the communities served by the Credit Union. (ii) Projects or purposes that are particularly innovative in responding to a community need. (iii) Projects or programs related to co-operative development; (iv) Projects or programs sponsored by or associated with organizational or individual members of the Credit Union. Appropriate publicity for donations are appreciated, but advertising value is not a selection criterion Membership in the Credit Union is not required, but preference will be given to organizations with Credit Union membership. What we will fund: Health -programs and services supporting the health and wellbeing of our communities Environment - healthy and successful lives depend on a healthy environment Youth - programs and services that enhance quality of life for our young people Education - programs that support education for various segments of our communities What we will not fund: For profit ventures, Operating costs, individual pursuits Conferences, symposiums, annual meetings political or religious organizations Service clubs or granting foundations -we prefer to donate funds directly to not-for-profit organizations. NOTE: All organizations, receiving funding are required to submit a detailed evaluation of the funded project or event within 90 days of completion of said project or event. This evaluation should include the following: 1. A written report outlining progress towards objectives, attendance, funds raised and overall outcomes.
