Clip sheets of newsprint into your clipboard. 3. Take off one shoe and put in on the table in front of you. 4. Sit quietly until more directions are given REVIEW: CONTOUR DRAWING • Drawing using line to follow visible edges of a shape • Emphasize mass and volume over detail • Important! Not all contours exist along the outlines of a subject. • Observational skills! Draw truly what the eye is seeing. DOUBLE-BLIND CONTOUR DRAWING Grab a pencil. Without looking at your paper, create a contour drawing of your shoe. NEW TWIST: Eyes must be closed!! You must scan your non-drawing hand along the contours of your shoe and draw what you feel. BLIND CONTOUR Without looking at your paper, draw your shoe. How did drawing what you see compare to drawing what you feel?
