Stress, Anxiety, Sleep Difficulties are the top 3 disruptions to student’ success
in college. This workshop will teach strategies to improve these problems, Weigel Health

which can increase focus/memory and improve mood.

Feeling anxious or depressed? Expressive writing is a way to cope with these
issues by releasing everything stressing you out on paper. This form of writing Campbell

is free from correct punctuation, grammar and spelling.

Patrick Moltane (ERYT 500) has been teaching yoga to students, faculty and Buckham Hall
staff through the Group Fitness program at Buffalo State since 2011. This Room D203
class is designed to help the practitioner slow down the turning of the mind by
focusing on deep, even mindful breathing and gentle comfortable movements.
Once the foundation for the practice (the breath) is established we will
systematically work through the body. We will do some standing, balancing
and seated poses then finish with guided relaxation.

Come listen to Briana Mangram – Behavioral Intervention Specialist from Houston Gym
Syracuse New York, talk about her experiences being diagnosed with anorexia Room 212
nervosa and panic disorder while she attended the University of Connecticut.

Dan Frontera, Assistant coordinator for Veterans Services at Erie
Technology
Community College, who served over 21 total years in the U.S. Army. A Building Room
Buffalo State graduate; Frontera received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for 160
Student Excellence and the President’s Medal for Outstanding Graduate
Student in 2014. He is also the co-creator of Paws & Patriots, a program
that connects shelter animals with veterans, as well as the Artists and
Veterans Collaborative, a program that allows veterans to experience the
healing effects of art.
Steve Lango, Domestic Violence Program Instructor at Catholic Charities, is
a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving over 20 years in the U.S.
Military. Steve completed his active duty career as a unit First Sergeant.
Steve served as the Vice President and President of the Buffalo State’s
Chapter of the Student Veterans of America. Also while at Buffalo State,
Steve worked as part of the Buffalo State Veteran’s Office as a work study
and then part time employee assisting veterans in their college and day to
day needs while attending Buffalo State.

Molly Gold is a licensed and registered Art Therapist and has been serving Assembly Hall 2
the WNY Community for over 25 years. She is currently an Artist in
Residence at Roswell Park Hospital bringing art, music and healing

modalities to patients there. Healing Touch is recognized by the National Student Union
Institution of Health National Center for Complimentary Medicine. This is a
special energy modality that uses several techniques to balance the human
energy field using the practitioner’s hands above or on the body.

Through Health Promotions, the I Love Consent workshop is a prevention
campaign against unlawful sex, rape, or sexual violence. This workshop
educates students on consent- what it is and how to recognize it.

Ann Venuto, Vice President of NAMI Buffalo, is a retired psychiatric nurse Campbell
practitioner and former faculty member of the nursing departments of
Student Union
Assembly Hall
Trocaire College, Niagara University and SUNY at Buffalo. She currently
facilitates a support group for family members who have a loved one with
mental illness and organizes monthly educational meetings for the
community. Listen to some of the stigmas surrounding mental health and
how to combat these negative stereotypes.
QPR Training--QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer -- three

simple steps that anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. People

trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis
and how to question, persuade, and refer someone for help.
American Foundation Suicide Prevention’s (AFSP) Out of The
Darkness Community Walk

place in September 12, 2015 at the. Help us raise funds and awareness for
AFSP's vision to create a world without suicide. Please join us on this very
special day and together we all have a chance to make a real difference!
