The first two operational satellites were
launched on 21 October 2011

The third and fourth Galileo satellites,
completing the IOV quartet, were
launched on 12 October 2012

On 12 March 2013, the first ever position
fix using only Galileo satellites and
ground segment was achieved.

The In-Orbit Validation phase of Galileo is
about to be concluded.

The full operational capability of the
Galileo system will be reached by 2020

Around 150 approach procedures

landings approved in Europe
The EGNOS Data Access Service
