The 7th Grade essential science terms are the vocabulary words that will be on the Final Exam. There are 150 of these words. They are divided up by each unit we cover. Objective: To create a booklet of all of the essential science terms and use it to study for the Final Exam. Directions: 1. Make your booklet. a. You will receive this direction sheet, along with 1 sheet of booklet paper. b. Put these papers into your 3-prong folder, using the prongs to hold them in place. c. Write your name, teacher, and period on the front of your folder. d. PUT IT IN A SAFE PLACE IN YOUR SCIENCE BINDER! DO NOT LOSE IT!!! THERE WILL BE A BOOKLET TEST AT THE END OF THE YEAR!!! 2. Write the title of the unit at the top of the page where it says “title.” 3. In each box, you should: a. Write the word b. Write its definition—some you can find in your book, others you will need to use a dictionary, encyclopedia, or look the word up online. Be sure to use a definition that you understand; don’t just copy from a website with big words. See my website for suggestions on websites to use: www.brothscience.weebly.com. c. Draw and color a picture d. Use the word in a sentence – your sentence should explain how your picture is related to the word. Do NOT just restate the definition and do NOT just copy the first sentence that pops up in Google! 4. Only use 1 word for each box. Do this for all of the words listed on the back of this page.
