Talking therapies include primary care psychology, improving access to psychological therapies and primary care counselling and could include other services in the future, such as a rapid response suicide prevention service. Third Sector Trends Study Survey 2014 On Tuesday 24th June 2014, the third Northern Rock Foundation Third Sector Trends Survey was launched online in North East England. The questionnaire will be available at this web address: https://www.survey.bris.ac.uk/durham/tstnortheast2014 They are asking all local third sector representative organisations, charitable foundations and local authorities in the region to support the survey by sending emails to all the organisations and groups they know about in their area. They want to hear from all kinds of third sector organisations, large or small; whether they are struggling, flourishing or just carrying on more or less as normal. In order to get as many responses as possible, they will also ask organisations holding events that take place in the next three months to promote the survey. They’ll also be using Twitter too to get people interested in the study. The survey aims to see how the third sector is faring at a time of significant social, economic and political change. Previous surveys took place in 2010 and 2012. The research will allow us to assess change using reliable evidence. Previous reports from the study are free to download at this web address: http://www.nr-foundation.org.uk/resources/third-sector-trends This unique long-term study will help us to understand what can be done to help the third sector to continue to work successfully in future. The questionnaire will also be posted to around 4,000 organisations and groups towards the end of June. The questionnaire only takes about 10-15 minutes to fill in. All answers given are completely confidential. Last time we got over 1,700 responses – and we need to get as many again to make sure the survey evidence is reliable.
