Rule: Past Participles A past participle is part verb and part adjective.
Therefore, it may be used as a verb or as an adjective.
To find the PP of a verb, whisper “have” in front of it.
Ex:
Past Participle - used
VERB - She has used the bus to ride to school.
ADJECTIVE – If the bus breaks down, she plans to buy a used car.
