AP Chemistry Final Instructions: Your Final will consist of two parts; one part can be done at home, the other part must be done in class during your final time. If you have another AP exam during the time of your final, please set up a time with me to complete the other part of your final. Part 1: Create your own Crossword puzzle You will be creating your own crossword puzzle using the AP chemistry word bank provided. You are required to use the following stipulations: - - - - 50 words (25 across, 25 down) You must use a set number of words from each section on the word bank o 6 words from words from last year, 4 words from stoichiometry, 5 words from thermochemistry, 10 words from electrons/structures, 6 words from solidliquid-gas, 4 words from rate, 8 words from equilibrium, 4 words from redox, and 3 words from radiation You may use the whole word or the abbreviation—this is only for words with abbreviations such as Redox or VSEPR You must create hints for these 50 words. These hints can be the definitions or can be the formulas (i.e. the hint for “free energy” could be the definition or the formula for free energy) Color in dark spaces for spaces in the words and draw in dashes for words that have dashes (i.e. Significant Figures—there will be a colored in square between the “t” in significant and the “f” in figures. Or oxidation-Reduction—there will be a “-“: drawn in between the two words. You will turn in three versions of this cross word puzzle. One for your own grade and one for someone else to fill in, and an answer key for the puzzle Part 2: Complete someone else’s word bank On the day of your final (seniors and juniors alike) you will trade crossword puzzles with someone else in the class. If you do not have someone to trade with, you may also complete my crossword puzzle that I will be making with the same words. - You may bring with you a hand written or typed word bank with definitions and/or formulas for all of the words to use as a cheat sheet on the final
