Henry and his son Edsel where a great team together. When Edsel was ready to
come into the business Henry made him work his way up instead of just giving it to him.
But, eventually Edsel made his way up the Chain and right into the Chairman’s seat.
Even with Edsel as Chairman, Henry gave his ideas and opinions on some of the ideas
Edsel had. There was a year where things started slow down and not so many sales, so
with Henry’s help Edsel came up with the Model A. During Production and
customization of the Model A Edsel had grown very sick and didn’t show up to work as
often. At the age of 47 Edsel Ford died of stomach cancer, never getting to witness the
unveil of the Model A and Henry regained the company. But something was going to hit
and devastate the company.(Jeffries)
Henry Ford’s death was a tragedy for his family and the world that loved him.
When Depression hit it was a huge impact on The Ford Motor Co. Shortly after the
Depression Ford boomed to be Bigger and Better than ever.
