PART I: Les médias (45minutes)
Students will use purple books “Élan” from the bookshelf by the window.
DIRECTIONS: Write answers in the vocabulary section of your notebook
 Vocabulaire: p.18/1c (find the answers) + copy words from the yellow box (at
the bottom of the page)
 p.18/2a: talk about your preferences when it comes to media, write a logical
sentence with each word given in this assignment: example Je ne regarde pas
souvent la télévision car ça ne m’intéresse pas.
 p. 18/3 (you can use your phones to find correct answers)

PART II (45 minutes): La voix passive (passive voice)
Watch this video (please ask Stephanie Gonzalez or Maria for assistance in playing
and pausing the video). TAKE NOTES IN YOUR GRAMMAR SECTION (third nine

NOTE to the teacher: at the end of class please ask Stephanie or Maria to stamp
vocabulary and grammar section (students work) in the notebooks. Stamp is in
the small side drawer in teacher’s desk.
A level: “Alouette VII” document available through Google Drive (allow students to

Students will use orange books “T’es branché 3” from the bookshelf by the widow.
PART I (45 minutes): p.94: “Une cuisine bien équipée” (COPY THE
VOCABULARY TO YOUR NOTEBOOK- VOCABULARY SECTION: copy all the
words including the orange box at the bottom).

euros, second 2 euros, and third 1 euro. As students turn in their papers, please note
which group was first, second, third, etc. I will check the answers and distribute the
euros.
Directions: Write the sentences below in voix active & passive (active & passive
voice). Each sentence must be completed in présent, passé composé, futur simple,
imparfait & subjonctif. Underline the verbs:

PART I (45 minutes): Students will use blue and white WORKBOOKS “T’es
branché 1” from the bookshelf by the door (they are stacked sideways). Students can
work with a partner if there is not enough workbooks.
Students will complete all assignments on a separate paper and turn it in to the
substitute teacher. Students have to complete their work in class. Please inform the
students that late work will NOT be accepted.

How to use this website:
1. Go to http://www.zut.org.uk
2. Click on Register/Log in on the left
3. Use account ID: 4911, password: bonjour
4. Go to “Year 12”, then click on “Customs and Traditions”
5. Select “La gastronomie: lis le text…”
6. Read the text on the right and copy and answers questions 1-8 (you can use the
same paper as your open book assessment).
7. Go back to “Customs and traditions”
8. Select “ Match the words on gastronomie…” and complete (copy the words and
translations to your paper)
Assignments must be completed IN CLASS. After the students work as a group, they
can view the website individually on their phones if they are able to access it.
Period 8
SKIT PRESENTATIONS.
NOTE TO THE TEACHER : If I’m unable to be there, ask the students to
record their skits on the phones. Please have Laura or Jennifer call me so I can
give them instructions. Please inform the students that the skits will be graded as
follows: accuracy : one assessment grade, memorisation : one assessment grade,

pronunciation : one assessment grade, presentation (props and costumes) : three
assignment grades). Students who fail to record and send their ski twill receive
six zeros.
