Objectives International Symposium The goals of the symposium are to (1) exchange professional experiences and discuss problem solving strategies in farming and rural systems economics and biodiversity in the tropics, (2) to improve and promote research and teaching cooperation and (3) to evaluate activities of the past and intensify and establish new relations DAAD Alumni Summer School 2009 on Farming and Rural Systems Economics and Biodiversity in the Tropics Participants Scientists and managers in universities and research centers from Africa, Middle East, Central and South Asia, Southeast Asia and Latin America as well as from European Universities and institutions related to the tropics.
