These flip-flops relate to Fences because Rose could really use her own "beach," a place to get away from everything and relax. Rose has been so loyal to Troy for 18 years, but Troy cheated on her because Alberta "gave him other things." Rose probably wants to leave Troy and not have to worry about the newborn child and all of the other problems she has with him. The brother and sister rested on the bare floor and were about to drown into a deep sleep, when they heard a disturbance outside the train. "Jenny, what is that?" questioned Louie. "Hmmm, it sounds like... like horses galloping?" Jenny rubbed her eyes for a few moments and then walked to the opening on the side of the car and looked back. "Uh-oh! No! No, no, no, no, no!" Jenny complained. "We were so close." Louie, alarmed, stood up. "Jenny, what is it?" he wondered. "It's the Exterminators."
