Microsoft Office Tips and Tricks for Teachers
Microsoft Office is a powerful set of applications, and there are many features in the software
that most users have never encountered. Teachers, especially math and science teachers, are
frequently unaware of the free equation editor, the ability to create histograms using Excel, ways
to work with graphics to create effective documents for students, the various ways to use tabs,
and how to add interest (with animations) to PowerPoint presentations. Here are various tutorials
to help teachers explore some of the little-known features of the Office suite. Files are provided
for Office XP/2003 and also for teachers who are trying to learn Office 2007.
Please note: The files for Office 2007 features are given in the Office 2007 format (the
extensions are .docx and .pptx). These can be opened with Office XP or Office 2003, but you
may have to download and install a small upgrade to allow the older version of Office to read
these newer files.
